This was our first Viking River Cruise and we were going in with high expectations from reports by friends. There are not enough superlatives to describe our entire experience. We especially want to acknowledge the outstanding performance of our Program Director, who epitomized grace under pressure. He was helpful, always cheerful, resourceful, and professional under the challenges of reopening in a uncertain COVID world.

2019Every detail was handled by Viking.
This was our first cruise with Viking. Overall, we were very pleased with how all was handled. The thing we liked most was that every detail was handled by Viking. We just had to show up. We give a 5-star rating to our Program Director. He was superb in very detail and was with us from start in Zurich to finish in Paris. If I were hiring, Mathias is the kind of employee I would want in my organization.

We had been on one other Viking river cruise and loved it so we really looked forward to this one. As always, the staff is so helpful and accommodating. They make the trip a real pleasure. We love the smaller size ship—you get a chance to really get to know people. Working on booking another journey with Viking.

2015Fifith river cruise with Viking.
Great trip! This was our fifth river cruise with Viking and, as usual, we had a great time all the way from Basel to Paris. Our Program Director was the best we’ve had, and all the staff members were typical Viking River Cruises representatives—friendly, helpful and willing to do anything to make our stay more enjoyable.

2015One of our best vacations.
This was our first river cruise, but definitely not our last. We couldn’t have been more pleased. The excursions were professional and informative; and the personal time afterward allowed us to further explore each destination, making them more relaxed and enjoyable. Our spacious stateroom had plentiful storage; in fact, the shower was bigger than those we’ve had on ocean ships. And we cannot say enough about the friendly, constantly attentive staff who knew all our names by the end of the first day and what we liked to eat and drink. The Captain and his Executive Officer were also fantastic. Honestly, we could praise the entire crew as each of them contributed to one of the best vacations we’ve ever had. We’ll be sailing with you again.

2015Totally awesome.
This was our fifth Viking Cruise and we have already booked a sixth one. The onboard staff were great; the food was delicious; and the entertainment, excellent. The pre-extension in Lucerne with the Palace-Luzern waterfront room was totally awesome. The trip to the American cemetery was also impressive. We have always enjoyed Viking and will continue cruising with them.
